January meeting 2026

 Note: We will meet at the Sarasota Community Church, 4041 Bahia Vista St, Sarasota due to construction at the Fruitville Library. The Library is adding on a Historical Section and will be closed for approximately 7-8 months.

The January 2026 meeting will be held on Jan 17 at the Sarasota Community Church, 4041 Bahia Vista St, Sarasota. Bring a modern quilt for Show and Tell.

The program will be Linda Hungerford showing us Twining and Confetti pouches. This is about how to "twine" fabric scraps together and use. To see upcoming programs for 2026 click here.

Highlights of the Dec Show and Tell was Lynn's light up Christmas Tree quilt - yes it actually glows with LED lights to get our Holiday spirit going as did the Grinch quilt by a learn to sew student of Lois's. Very festive! To see all the Show and Tell quilts click here or on tab.

December Holiday Party

 Note* The Holiday Party is on the 2nd Saturday of December - December 13 and is for members only.

The December meeting is our annual holiday party and will be on Saturday, December 13 in the Fruitville meeting room located at 100 Apex Rd, exit 215 off I-75 in Sarasota. Our Annual Holiday party is for members only. Bring the food item you signed up for at the November meeting or contact Sue T on our GroupMe app for more information.

The November program - a Round Robin of Techniques - was a huge success. Thank you to our members Frieda, Nan, Jann, and Lynn who shared there expert techniques.

Many Challenge quilts were shown at the November meeting. The next show and tell for the Challenge quilts will be at the January meeting. There's still time to make or complete one see descriptions here or on Challenges tab.

October meeting

The October meeting will be on Saturday, October 18, at 10:15 in the Fruitville Library meeting room located at 100 Apex Rd, exit 215 off I-75 in Sarasota, Fl. Bring a modern quilt for Show and Tell.

August meeting

The Jumbo Bag class was a hit! - thank you Kathy J for teaching and will there be one offered in winter?

Highlights of Show and Tell were Butterflies! - the Take Flight free pattern. Lois made a large one using upcycled men's shirts, sheets etc and Margi magically decreased the pattern for a bright wall hanging.
